Klima-Agence certified for craftsmen

Client support and help with applications for Klimabonus subsidies

As of the 1^st of January 2022, the Klimabonus state subsidy scheme has been expanded and now also directly supports craftsmanship. Skilled workers active in the field of sustainable renovation and whose clients wish to benefit from Klimabonus financial assistance or climate loans for the implementation of a single measure (excluding technical installations) in a sustainable energy renovation project, can now provide their clients with direct support in their renovation project.

This kind of guidance is exclusively reserved for professionals approved by the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity and who participate in a quality assurance system (SAQ). With its "Klima-Agence certified - Craftsman" label, Klima-Agence offers consistent quality assurance in the field of energy and sustainable renovations for residential buildings. In this context, Klima-Agence has entered into a corresponding agreement with the Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity.

This agreement is based on the Act of April 7, 2022 amending the amended Act of 23^rd December 2016 establishing an aid scheme for the promotion of sustainability, rational use of energy and renewable energies in the field of housing, which came into force on 1^st January 2022.

Klima-Agence certification and quality assurance

Klima-Agence has been developing the "Klima-Agence certified" certification system since 2013 in order to take into account legislative and regulatory changes and to ensure that the label respects the conditions and obligations of a QAS (quality assurance system). Participation in the "Klima-Agence certified" certification therefore fulfils the condition of adherence to a QAS (quality assurance system) mentioned in the approval issued by the Environment Agency (Ministry of Environment, Climate and Biodiversity) to receive the accreditation to operate as a certified craftsman for the Klimabonus subsidy programme.

Every craftsman must meet the following qualifications:

Basic qualification

For the basic qualification, craftsmen must meet one of the following requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in the field of construction or technical engineering
• Master's degree or higher technical diploma (BTS) in the field of construction
• Diplôme de technicien (DT) or Diplôme de fin de études secondaires / secondaire techniques in the field of construction
• Diploma of Professional Aptitude (DAP / CATP) in the field of construction
• at least 3 years of professional experience in construction
• other professional qualification for the granting of the right of establishment in the construction trade.

Additional qualifications

The additional qualifications requirements, which mainly cover specific expertise in the field of energy and sustainable construction, are grouped into three modules:

• module 1: building physics
• module 2: building envelope
• module 3: legislation on energy efficiency in residential buildings, heritage protection, fire safety and subsidy programmes.

Klima-Agence organises a "Klima-Agence certified" examination for the label several times a year.

Every energy craftsman who participates in the "Klima-Agence certified" quality assurance system is obliged to participate in a customer evaluation system.
