Heat pumps are becoming the gold standard for heating systems in new buildings
The requirements for energy efficiency will change from the 1st of January 2023. As of 2023, the heat pump will be used as the benchmark heating system when drawing up the energy performance certificate for a new building. This change will therefore also affect the approval of building permits and thus the overall design of the building.
Legislative amendments concerning the state subsidies for the installation of charging stations
The Règlement Grand-Ducal of the subsidy programme for the installation of charging stations will be extended from January 2023 until the 31st of December 2024* and will be running concurrently with the subsidy programme for the purchase of e-cars. Future subsidies may also be requested for semi-mobile charging stations while leasing is now also supported. Below is an overview of all adjustments.

La loi relative au régime d'aides en faveur des infrastructures de charge pour véhicules électriques a été publiée le 26 juillet 2022. Élaboré par le ministre de l'Économie, Franz Fayot, et le ministre de l'Énergie, Claude Turmes, ce nouveau régime d'aides a pour objectif de stimuler davantage le développement de l'électromobilité au Luxembourg.
